Dr. Moon graduated with honors from Ferris State University College of Optometry. She moved with her husband Douglas to Colorado and worked in a private practice for almost fourteen years. She sold her part of the practice and they moved back to Michigan to be near family. They have two  sons.

Dr. Moon started practicing in Tawas over​ 16 years ago. Dr. Moon enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She fits many types of contact lenses including those for astigmatism and bifocal contacts. A large portion of her patient population is also medical eye care, particularly diabetics, glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Moon is on a nonprofit board and volunteers to help her community. She and her husband have two sons.
